Every year we face the umpire shortage challenge. Hayden Little League offers the following for those willing to umpire:

Plate Umpires are paid $30 per game, Field Umpires are paid $20 per game

All Umpires get $5 per night in the concession stand.

All Umpires MUST have completed their volunteer registration, background check, and abuse awareness training prior to umpiring. See the document below for directions on how to complete this.

Use this link to access the Little League University Training Little League University Training

Little League requires all Umpires under 18 to follow the same registration and training process AND they cannot be a plate umpire if the field umpire is a minor, unless arrangements are made with the board to have a representative adult for that game. Plate umpires for Majors must be 16 or older and must be 14 or older for AAA. Prior approval by the board must be made for any deviations from the age requirements.

The Board would prefer all Umpires under the age of 18 complete the Online Umpire Training from Little League University and/or attend an in-person umpire training.
